About the London School of Journalism.
The LSJ has been teaching news journalism and freelance journalism for three generations, and continues to lead the way in the development of teaching methods which produce successful results for our journalism students. Although best known for our journalism courses many of our students are involved in other areas - short fiction, novels, children's fiction, poetry, cartooning and our various English courses form an equally important part of our activity.
We offer distance learning courses and postgraduate diploma courses held in London. Our distance learning courses cover all aspects of journalism and creative writing, as well as Use of English, History and Literature, while our tutorial courses cover news journalism, features writing and broadcast journalism and are NUJ recognised. We have a four week summer school every August and Evening classes throughout the year.
Our distance learning students have the benefit of real-time online lectures and a bulletin board for student contact, and those who wish to visit the school in London may attend general interest tutorial lectures at no charge. Our students come from all over the world - around 75% from within the EU, 10% from North America and Australasia, and the remaining 15% from a hundred different countries!
Many use our 'online' course delivery so that all their work and assignments are delivered safely by email. Distance learning together with modern communications allow student and teacher to work closely together, regardless of physical location.
If you can't find what you are looking for, or if you have any questions, contact us and we will try and provide the answers.
We look forward to welcoming you on one of our courses.
